Puerto Rico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We love, love, love to travel. Obviously. This time we got to go visit my sister in Puerto Rico. We had the best time ever. Beast says that "Puerto Rico is AWESOME!!" It was hot but the kids were amazingly well behaved and we got to be beach bums and see the sights and see my sister I haven't seen in a while. It was so darn hard to come back to the frozen tundra. Blech! Thanks, Eva and Scott, for letting us bug you!
Here's what we saw:

Cerro Gordo, great snorkeling there:

These are some cool forts that Puerto Rico is supposed to be famous for. I can't remember their names:

This is this really cool waterfall where my daughter almost drowned (thank you guick-diving puerto rican who saved my child) and my son almost got a concussion (I fell and was holding him. It was really, really, really slickery)

The breathtakingly beautiful Seven Seas beach:

Ponce:

Hiking in El Yunque:

Mar chicito:

Vegas, baby! ...With a Baby

Before we left for Puerto Rico we spent a couple of days in Las Vegas. The hubby's uncle and aunt live there so we got to visit with them and do some shopping and playing. In these pictures we had gone to the Mandalay Bay hotel to their super cool aquarium. Beast wanted to go there for her birthday so, for once, we did what she wanted.

Beastie's Birthday Party

My favorite little beastie turned 6! It's gone by so fast. We had a fun birthday party for her and way more kids showed up than we expected. My friend, Christina, stayed and helped us out which I really appreciated. Beast had a great time and is growing up too fast! We love her, love her, love her to death!

Playing Catch-up again

A couple of weeks ago we went to one of our favorite places - St. George. We love the weather and the atmosphere and almost everything about it. I've just not posted things for a long, long time.

Pioneer park is a really cool red place where we could hike and climb through crevices and whatnot:

Another park, Heritage Square, is another favorite. There's this cool fountain and stream that the kids can play in - yay for free entertainment!

Lastly, we went to Snow Canyon. We'd never been there before and it's pretty cool. It's not anything to Zion's, but it's pretty neat.

Beastie's first spelling bee ever!

Beastie had her very first spelling bee today. They do it weird here, though. The students work in teams and nobody gets eliminated.

Getting ready

Working on their word

"tag" is spelled right!

Unfortunately, Beastie's team lost. They got 7 right out of ten. Beast says its because she only had boys on her team. She got the ones she had to spell correct, but they were supposed to work together as a team to get them right. Mostly they got their words wrong because they used capital letters. Lame, huh?

Good job, beast!
