Part 1 of High School Musical TJ Style

For Christmas, TJ and I got Beast a High School Musical dancing thing. It's so much fun, I am so ashamed to say. This is how TJ works it!

Sledding

Christmas Eve!

This year we are on our own for Christmas. It's kind of fun, actually. I feel so grown up. Today we went sledding with some friends. It was a lot of fun. Sledding in Nevada - who knew!

Christmas Program

A family in our neighborhood does a live nativity every year. It's pretty cool. Really cool. 6 degrees cool. Holy crap it was cold!

Here are the caroling angels

The angel speaking to the shepards.

This is how we do wise men in McGill. Cowboys with turbans.

It was really dusty in the barn so the pics aren't great, but there is the nativity. They wanted to use Bug as the baby, but he wasn't dressed appropriately.

Beastie's favorite parts: the puppies, horses and all the other animals.

Brenner is talking

I recorded this on my phone (hence, the crappy quality) for my mom and mother-in-law. Buggy has been talking like crazy. Well, more like screaming. It's so cute!

Christmas program

Beastie's Christmas program was last night. Here is part of one of their songs they sang. They sang two, but the other video was too large to post. Sad. Beast is on the left, 2nd in, 3rd row down in an elf hat.

SNOW!!!

Last night it dumped on us! I really wish I liked snow. We were late for church because we ended up pushing people who got stuck. It was funny. Anyway, the snow is melting like crazy so we decided to let Beastie play and make a snowman.
Here is the hubby and Beastie's snowman, complete with wig.

We don't have a sled, and although I don't consider myself a cheapskate, I am not going to spend the $30 to buy a sled in this g-forsaken town. Beastie, then, got to use a garbage bag - it works just as well! Besides, our little hill isn't very big.

Beast didn't last long. I think she uses playing in the snow as an excuse to beg for hot chocolate. Now we are going to make Christmas treats to deliver to our neighbors.

Before and After

I did my first attempt at cutting Alyssa's hair. Yikes. She kept tilting her head so it started shoulder length and just got shorter and shorter and shorter. Yesterday, when I was being whiney about not cutting like I wanted, she told me, "Mom, you did a good job. Well, not a real good job because it's too short." Then when I countered by saying she wouldn't hold her head still she replied, "Yeah, my head was out of control." She makes me happy. Fortunately, she was the one who asked for it to be cut and she likes it; but, I really don't think I'll be cutting her hair again any time soon.
